Hall of Fame Dinner

Last night was the first Hall of Fame induction ceremony for Triton Athletics. It was a very entertaining night to include some great speeches, amazing food, and a lot of story telling. We were glad that we were able to photograph the event. By the end of the night I think we snapped close to 1,000 pictures, in fact it filled up a memory card, here are few:

!!! ROCKSTAR !!!

This little rockstar below is out nephew Gage. He sure is a good sport whenever he is asked to have his picture taken, because I think he really hates it. haha he kept saying "are we almost done". But he saw the guitar siting in the other room and thought it would be super cool to have his picture taken with it. If it keeps him smiling then why not! I thought the picture turned out great...and thanks for being a good sport Gage.

Candid moments

I was looking at some old pictures this morning and these two really stood out so I figured I would share them with you. Now obviously these weren't taken as a "photo shoot" but were actually taken while on patrol in Iraq. From a photography standpoint I love how these show a  whole different side of what people might think of as war stricken country. I love the the father - daughter moment caught in the picture below. I wish I knew what he said to her at that moment to get that little grin out of her. I think the smile on her face, the prayer beads that he is holding, combined with the oversized red gate as a backdrop give this picture a real "innocent" feeling. I hope you enjoy, and thanks for looking at the blog!!

Triton Senior Night

Nothing better than a Friday night Indiana high school basketball game!! Obviously being at sporting events as a photographer is a good time. Its fun to see what kind of facial expressions, uncalled fouls, acrobatic moves, and other parts of the game that we can capture....but sometimes the real action and emotion comes from the crowd. Last night we went to Trition Senior Night; here are a few of the shots:

Bright Eyes

One aspect of portrait photography that we really enjoy is "bringing" out the eyes in our subjects. We overdosed on eye editing on the photos below, but these were just for fun. Hope you enjoy!

Upcoming Events:

We are really looking forward to being a part of the Triton Hall of Fame Inductee weekend.  It should be a great weekend for Triton athletics and we are thrilled that we get to take part in photographing the events.

HOW CUTE ARE THEY???

A large portion of our photoshoots are with children. Although we enjoy all aspects of photography; gotta admit that kids keep it the most entertaining. You never know exactly what you are going to get when working with children, but one thing is for sure...it is always a blast :) Here is a very small portion of some of the cuties that we have met in the past year or so.

HOW IT ALL STARTED

After living in the tropical paradise of Hawaii for a few years we decided to purchase a "nice" camera. Obviously Hawaii was an incredible place to photograph! Our weekends of sunning, beaching and hiking quickly became the focus of our photography. Throughout our blog posts don't be suprised if you see random pictures from our time on the islands...maybe it is our way of kind of wishing we were still there.
